Sometimes I think the only way to court popularity as a female artist is to flash your tits. I am fed up of people being popular/getting page views because they conform to a warped alt-standard of attractiveness and flash their flaps. It really doesn’t make you big or clever, it means you’re willing to debase any artistic integrity you may, or may not have by trading on your sexuality.

That’s not to say that I don’t like pron, or hate womens bodies. I’m not a bitter haired legged feminist man hater who thinks women should wear polo necks on warm days – I just hate the detached manner in which some women think it’s acceptable to post pics of themselves that teenage boys will fwap one out over and conclude that you’re edgy or exciting. In my opinion, you have an over-inflated sense of your own self importance and whilst confidence is an alluring quality in anyone, male or female, performing the ‘artistic’ equivalent of a ‘hello boys’ is over-confident to the point of nausea.

The human body is a wonderful, complex, amazing thing that changes, or is modified to the aspiration, whims or aging of it’s owner. Amateur pron is great. Classical artist nudes are great. Posting your tits and then asking to be accepted as an artist for your other work is somewhat dull.

With a few notable and wonderful exceptions, male artists do not feel the need to post naked pictures of themselves – and those artists are wonderful and notable because they are exceptions – it is much less frequent for male artists to feel they need to peel off those layers – and when they do there is more of a sense of artist laid bare/afterthoughts than a ‘me me me look at meeeeeeee! I’m nekkid!’ aura. Double standard? Yes probably, couldn’t care less.

If you get out your tits, you’re accepted – people like to look at them = page views and ‘interesting’ comments. If you despair that women feel they have to get out their tits, then apparently you’re prudish, ill at ease with your body or bitter.

I’m off for my ultrasound tomorrow (whilst on the subject of tits) wish me every happiness, fellow-deviants. If my boobs are A-OK, I promise I won’t stick up a cancer-free pic in celebration.
